Welcome.
Marie works in the arts, broadcasting and human rights sectors as an award-winning executive producer, arts facilitator, oral historian and consultant. She started her career as a journalist and voiceover artist at the BBC, Global and other international broadcasters and podcast platforms before focusing her work on collaborating with emerging producers and artists.
After being part of the team who secured the FM licence for Reprezent FM and making documentaries for BBC Radio 4 and World Service, she worked at the Roundhouse in Camden for over a decade. As Head of Broadcast and Digital she established the award winning Transmission Roundhouse; a podcast platform and training programme for creatives aged 16-30.
She now runs her own production company and makes digital content that is respectfully curious and connects people through stories. She regularly consults for different arts organisations, charities and broadcasters as well as facilitating with young people in schools, colleges and youth provisions across the UK and being a Senior Teaching Fellow in podcasting at SOAS University.
One day she’ll also get good at websites, but until that day please get in touch by emailing marie@mariehorner.co.uk.
